BEFORE The eat-in dining area took up valuable space, as did the cabinets above the peninsula. Dark finishes also contributed to making this space feel smaller and more crowded than it really is, especially for the cook!
AFTER Removing overhead cabinets and widening the peninsula top created a new space for dining. Relocating the stove to the former eat-in area created much more prep/cooking space and created the perfect work triangle.
BEFORE The stove and refrigerator were crowded onto one short wall with only inches of countertop between them for prep and in-and-out of the refrigerator space.
AFTER Relocating the stove to the former eat-in area created a vast amount of prep/cooking space and left enough room on the refrigerator for ample pantry storage.
